EMPOWER

If you think you're too small to make a difference, you haven't spent the night with a mosquito

Smartphones and social media raise urgent questions about how we protect our children and their childhoods in the digital age. As has been seen with efforts to get people to use seatbelts or to stop smoking, new norms take time - and courage - to establish.

At SFCNZ, we’re building communities of parents, educators, and leaders ready to stand together, speak up, and support one another. Whether you’re just starting out or already leading change in your own community, we’ve got tools, networks, and real-world actions to help.

You’re not alone—and together, we’re protecting what matters most. Our children.

No matter your style—whether you love leading conversations or prefer making an impact behind the scenes—there’s a place for you as an ambassador.

Join a growing team of passionate advocates nationwide, each contributing in their own way. You can help spread the message by sharing notices in school and work newsletters, posting in class WhatsApp groups, organizing speakers for schools, or using our resources to engage parents, principals, and community groups. However you choose to get involved, you’ll be making a meaningful difference, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

The best way to start is by joining other families in signing the Parent Pact—a shared commitment to protect childhood and delay smartphones. You can also stay connected through our newsletter and social channels, share the message in your community, or support the movement with a donation.

If you're keen to do more, we welcome you to explore becoming an Ambassador—you'll be part of a supportive network of parents, educators, and advocates helping lead local change in your community.
