Welcome to the Smartphone Free Childhood New Zealand Principals' Pack. We are deeply grateful for your leadership in shaping the environments where our children and young people grow, learn, and thrive. This pack is designed to support you in guiding your school community through important conversations about the impact of smartphones and social media on childhood wellbeing.

As a principal, your voice carries weight and influence. By championing this movement, you help create a culture that prioritizes safety and healthy development. This pack includes tools to help you educate parents, engage staff, and empower students — all while fostering a united front through the Parent Pact and celebrating progress via the National School Leaderboard Table.

Together, we can build communities where childhood is protected, presence is valued, and digital pressures are thoughtfully managed.
