(The results of the Parent Pact)

Our live National School Leader board is just getting started, and every new pledge helps it grow. Explore how schools across Aotearoa are building momentum—broken down by region, school, and year group. Click through to see your school’s progress, compare with others, and share it to spark more interest from families to join. Together, we’re shaping a national shift toward healthier, happier childhoods.

It takes 60 seconds, and it might just change the world!

By acting together, we shift the ‘smartphone norm’ for our children faster than any of us could alone.

When making your decision, it can be helpful to think about why we have minimum ages for smoking, gambling, driving, drinking and sex. Many experts in child development say that from 16 is the right minimum age for smartphone ownership. We encourage you to choose 16 if you can (but 14 and 15 is also an option) - the more families that set this as an intention, the less peer pressure there will be on our children and ourselves.
